Lecto ("we," "our," or "the app") is a speed reading and comprehension app for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

## Data We Collect

### Data Stored on Your Device

All your reading data is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. This includes:

• Imported content (text, PDFs, EPUBs, web articles, scanned documents)
• Reading progress, sessions, and bookmarks
• Reading preferences and settings
• Exercise records, quiz results, and daily streaks
• AI-generated content (summaries, key points, translations)
• We do not have access to this data.* It never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.

### Camera Access

Lecto requests camera access only when you use the document scanning feature to import text via OCR. Camera data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. We do not store, transmit, or access your camera feed or scanned images beyond the text extraction process.

### AI Processing

When you use AI features (summaries, key points, quizzes, translation), text from your current reading content is sent to a third-party AI service for processing. We do not store this data on any server. The AI provider's own privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

### Purchase Information

If you make in-app purchases, transactions are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs purchase data.
